Artist’s House
Giacomo Favretto, one of the greatest Venetian painters of the nineteenth century, lived in the building that now houses the Hotel San Cassiano. Having moved from his paternal carpenter’s workshop to the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, he stood out for his innate gifts, which led him over the years to acquire international fame.
